We've made it back to Texas and are trying to unpack and do the normal household stuff. Allie is enjoying looking at the blog which she refers to as her 'website'. We had a great time in Georgia and were happy to hook up with some other family and friends. It's amazing how you can pretty much pick up where you left off no matter how long it's been. It took us all of Saturday to pack the bags and the car. We did manage to get a few more cute pics of Allie with her cousins and some of the things they did.

More Christmas Pics
Christmas Day
Well, Christmas Day finally arrived. Allie and her cousins made quick work of Santa's presents. We had a short breakfast then opened presents from each other. After that, we had a very good ham and turkey lunch (including proper sweet potato souffle). We then went to Sherrie's uncle and aunt's house (Bobby and Dale). Allie got to meet more of her cousins - Kaitlyn and Addison. After we returned it was nap time for the grownups while the kids had the run of the house. We finished Christmas Day with a quiet evening at the Bolemans' house.

Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve we pretty much hung out at my parent's house most of the day. We made lots of chocolate treats, watched Christmas movies, and took naps. That night we picked up Chinese for dinner, drove around and looked at Christmas lights and then opened our Christmas Eve presents- pajamas for everyone. Actually, Allie has already been wearing her Christmas pajamas so she got a new robe. We finished up our advent by lighting the Christ candle and reading the Christmas story. After our worship time, the theme quickly turned to Santa and Allie was truly concerned about getting everything on her Christmas list! We read lots of Christmas books, sang songs and then finally the kids were asleep, just in time for Santa!

Getting together with Friends
Yesterday we got together with a couple of my friends from college, Evelyn Harper and Christy Coffey. They brought their kids and we met at Jungle Jump so the kids could play. They had a great time jumping, playing, and opening presents from each other. We try to get together every time I come back to Georgia. I appreciate them keeping their schedules open for me!!

Build A Bear
Yesterday we took Blake to Build A Bear because that's what Allie wanted to get him for Christmas. I was afraid she would beg for one herself but she was too excited for him. She showed him how to do everything. Instead of the monkey that we thought he would want, he went straight to the T Rex. It really is cute. He then chose to get the Batman outfit for 'Rex.' We purchased him and then placed him in the box to be opened on Christmas. We had a great time in Build A Bear along with about 150 other people :)

First Post
We made it to Georgia early this morning. Allie and her cousin Blake have had a great time playing together. We went to church this evening for a meal and Christmas program. It was great to see everyone! This evening we did the fourth candle in advent with the whole family. This should be a busy week with lots planned.
